LTU-XR is a PtMP client unit for the 5GHz band with an antenna gain of 29 dBi and LTU’s proprietary wireless technology, which is not built on the limited 802.11 standard, which can achieve a real TCP/IP speed of 550 Mbps+ and modulation up to 1024 QAM. The unit is also equipped with a Bluetooth radio for management and initial setup using the UISP application directly from the mast where you install it.

Option to set different Tx and Rx frequency
LTU technology allows you to use different frequencies for transmit (Tx) and receive (Rx) to avoid interference, thus increasing the throughput of your network. 
Compatibility
LTU is a completely new platform based on proprietary technology that does not use the 802.11 protocol. It is not compatible with devices from the airMAX M5 or airMAX 5AC series. On the other hand, although LTU is based on the technology used by airFiber products, they use a different protocol for communication, so LTU products are not compatible with AF-5X or AF-5/5U products either.
Software
In addition to its own web management, LTU products are also supported by UISP software (UNMS) for central control and management of Ubiquiti devices.
